Dr Seuss Enterprises Taking Six Book Titles Off The Market

Officials at Dr Seuss Enterprises say that six books including "And to think I saw it on Mulberry Street" will no longer be published because of racist imagery. “McElligot’s Pool,” “On Beyond Zebra!,” “Scrambled Eggs Super!,” and “The Cat’s Quizzer" will also go out of print for the same reason.

" These books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong. Ceasing sales of these books is only part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr. Seuss Enterprises’s catalog represents and supports all communities and families," the company says in a statement.

Officials say that the decision was made late last year after substantial debate.
