With COVID cases on the rise due to the spread of the delta variant, the federal mask mandate on airplanes and other forms of public transportation is being extended until January of next year.
The additional requirements will also be applied to trains and buses throughout the country.
The TSA confirmed the decision yesterday afternoon.
Most travelers we have encountered say that they may not agree with the additional mandate but will gladly comply so long as they are able to go somewhere.
The mandate had been set to expire next month.
