Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy is meeting with President Trump at the White House today.
Murphy is scheduled to participate in a bipartisan discussion with the president on ways to address gun violence in schools.
Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty is also expected to attend the meeting.
Esty represents Newtown, which is where 20 children and six adults were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.
The meeting comes in the aftermath of the Governor's Conference meetings in DC where Governor Baker said that he believed that there was a deal to be made on the hot button topic.
