The planned start date in May for the commuter rail line connecting New Haven, Hartford and Springfield is now in jeopardy.
The state is leasing 16 old rail cars from Massachusetts for use on the line, and they are still undergoing mandatory upgrades.
The state had been planning to launch the new commuter rail service on May 21st.
Now, the DOT says Governor Dan Malloy will announce the official start date on April 19th.
