A 15-year-old mother who took a four-month-old baby from a residential program has been found in Springfield.
Police said Shantel Van Voorhis and her four-month-old child, who were both living at DARE Family Services in Newburyport, vanished early Monday.
The Newburyport Police Department says the teen is in the custody of the Department of Children and Families after she was found on Tuesday, and that her son was located in Worcester and is also in DCF custody.
Authorities have said little else about the circumstances surrounding the case.
