A woman is facing charges after allegedly pulling a knife and slashing two people in the throats on board a Pioneer Valley Transit Authority bus in Hadley.
Police say Brietta Brown was arrested after the incident at around 4:15 p.m.
Wednesday on a bus that was going from Northampton to Amherst.
Reports indicate the bus driver pulled over on Route 9 and worked with other passengers to get the weapon away from the attacker.
The two slash victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the bus driver suffered minor hand injuries but was hospitalized with apparent chest pains.
Police have not offered any motive for the alleged attack.
