The West Springfield City Council and Mayor William Reichelt are on the same page when it comes to amending the town's zoning bylaws.
The council unanimously approved the mayor's petition to allow secondhand stores in parts of the West Side.
Regulations set in place a few years ago lumped secondhand stores and pawn shops together, which he said he feels was the result of a rushed decision.
The zoning ordinance will allow stores that will take in used clothes and pay out money to re-open in the area, as they were never supposed to be impacted in the first place.
