Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni is announcing a significant drug bust.
Five people were arrested in Chicopee, Springfield and West Springfield and more than a kilogram of heroin was seized on Tuesday, according to Gulluni.
A woman was found dead of an overdose and heroin was found in her room at a West Springfield hotel on Sunday, where police later executed one of a half-dozen search warrants in connection to the investigation.
Gulluni telling reporters that they took a big chunk out of the illegal drug business and they will continue to strike.
The DA will not say when that is going to be.
