A trial is ending for a suspect in a fatal stabbing in Springfield.
Nickolas Lacrosse was convicted on a first-degree murder charge on Wednesday by a Hampden Superior Court jury in the death of 17-year-old Kathryn Mauke, who was a senior at Sabis International Charter School.
Lacrosse, who was Mauke's ex-boyfriend, stabbed Mauke in her East Springfield home in 2015, according to authorities.
Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday.
Lacrosse will get life in prison without the possibility of parole.
