The Massachusetts Senate is green-lighting the 2019 budget.
Lawmakers agreed to a nearly 41-and-a-half-billion-dollar budget overnight, adding over 75-million dollars in spending for this upcoming year.
Despite wrapping up debate at 12:40 this morning, Senate President Harriette Chandler commended the effort, calling it "one of the smoothest budget processes to date."
A committee will now work out compromises between the Senate and the House budget, which was approved last month.
That process is expected to push near the July deadline.
