Malloy To Veto Hartford Bailout Bill Limits

Governor Dan Malloy is vetoing a bill  passed by the legislature that would limit the state's bailout of the  city of Hartford.

The state is picking up over 500-million-dollars of  Hartford's general obligation debt over more than two decades.

Many  lawmakers were unaware of the price tag when they signed off on the  measure last year, and the bill limiting the bailout was passed in  response.

Malloy says the Municipal Assistance Review Board system is  working and should be left alone.

It is unclear whether they will enough votes to override the veto.
