The John Ashley Elementary School in West Springfield is being cleaned in an effort to stem the spread of illness.
Several students and staff have been vomiting and suffering with other stomach-related symptoms.
Superintendent of Schools Michael Richard in a letter sent to parents yesterday, the superintendent is urging them to keep their child home if he or she becomes symptomatic.
Currently no other schools have reported any wide-spread sickness.
