The National Weather Service is issuing a heat advisory and an air quality alert for today for the all of western Mass and Northern Connecticut.
Temperatures are expected to be over 90 degrees today with high humidity in the region.
The air quality alert means ground level ozone may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
The air quality alert runs through ten p.m. today.
The experts advise particularly those who are elderly to stay indoors and drink plenty of water.
