Massachusetts law says marijuana shops can begin selling to customers on Sunday, but in reality that is not going to happen.
State regulators are expected to begin approving retail marijuana licenses next week.
However, those shops cannot begin selling pot to the public until an independent testing laboratory is licensed by the Cannabis Control Commission.
More than 30 entities have applied for retail marijuana business licenses.
