Report: Troopers Racing To Retirement

A new report indicates that Massachusetts state troopers linked to an overtime scandal are rushing to retire.  

The Boston  Globe reports that at least 17 troopers tied to the investigation have  retired over the last few months.  

Members of the State Police can  retire and begin collecting pensions once they have served 20 years,  regardless of their age.  

The recently approved pension payments for  state troopers range from 68-thousand to 105-thousand-dollars a year.
