The man shot by a Springfield police officer on Tuesday is now identified.
Geovonny Hernandez, who is accused of attempting to hit the officer with his car, is in custody at Baystate Medical Center.
He faces multiple drug and firearm charges as well as armed assault with intent to murder.
In addition to Hernandez, 12 other people were arrested as the result of a month-long investigation into drug and firearms activity in the Fort Pleasant Avenue area.
The officer who was injured in the arrest is still at home recovering.
