The 41-billion-dollar state budget package has the approval of the legislature.
Both chambers of the legislature quickly approved the budget bill yesterday, more than two weeks after the start of the new fiscal year.
The measure relies on improved revenue projections to add 400-million-dollars in spending from what was initially proposed.
The measure also includes language to provide new oversight to State Police with an internal audit unit and a special legislative commission.
The budget includes money for The Air Show in Chicopee to the tune of 50 thousand dollars.
50 thousand dollars for Holyoke City Hall repairs.
$200,000 for a postpartum depression pilot program at community health centers in the cities of Holyoke, Lynn, Worcester and Jamaica Plain section of Boston
$200,000 for the Eureka program in the Holyoke, Lynn, Worchester chapters of Girls Inc as well as additional money for education and road improvements.
