Plans are in the works to break up a homeless camp on the town common in Greenfield.
Mayor William Martin proposed coordinating a rapid re-housing effort through social service agencies at an emergency city council meeting held last Thursday.
The camp has steadily grown in size in the last several weeks.
Another emergency council meeting, set for this upcoming Thursday, could see council members vote on a deadline for the campers to leave.
