A Barre man is facing criminal charges after he allegedly lured two girls to a remote tent and gave them alcohol.
Police arrested 46-year-old William Ahearn after a parent of one of the children alerted authorities of suspicious text messages.
Ahearn is facing charges that include indecent assault and battery on a person under the age of 14 and enticing a child. He's being held on 50-thousand-dollars bail.
Officials say Ahearn was located hiding in a vacant house in town and was captured without incident.
