A state judge is blocking the release of the names of people who cooperated in the investigation into former Senate President Stan Rosenberg.
Rosenberg resigned his post in the senate earlier this year.
The judge says he respects the internal probe conducted by the Senate, saying he respects the promise to protect witness identities.
Prosecutors had hoped the names would be released as they build a case against Rosenberg's husband Bryon Hefner.
Some witnesses only talked to Senate investigators after assurances that their names would not be released.
