The man accused of killing a South Windsor police sergeant with a blow to the head in South Carolina is free on bail.
South Windsor Sergeant Matthew Mainieri died Sunday after trying to break up a fight at a bar in a community near Myrtle Beach.
Mainieri was in South Carolina on vacation at the time of the incident.
Kelton Todd of Aynor, South Carolina is charged with aggravated assault, and is free after posting 35-thousand-dollars bail.
More charges are expected to be filed as early as today.
