A bear was euthanized in West Springfield this past weekend.
Environmental police put the black bear down after it broke into a storage area of a residential part of the town on Sunday morning.
Authorities said the bear had previously been relocated but apparently became habituated to humans.
Environmental police are reminding people not to feed bears and to remove bird feeders and store garbage securely inside.
