A lawsuit alleging sexual assault against Bryon Hefner, the husband of former state Senate president and Amherst Democrat Stan Rosenberg, and against Rosenberg himself is being dropped.
A statement was released Thursday by the lawyer for the man identified as John Doe, a former legislative aide.
The attorney didn't provide further comment except to say there was not a settlement.
Hefner still faces criminal charges for alleged sexual assaults involving victims he met through work in Beacon Hill.
Neither Hefner or Rosenberg have commented.
