Man Shot Three Times Given Home Confinement

A man who was reportedly shot by West Springfield  police in 2017 is being sentenced for assault and battery and other  offenses.

Jeremy Hollins entered a guilty plea in  Hampden Superior Court on Monday and was ordered to serve six months of  home confinement and perform community service, with a two-year  suspended jail sentence.

Reports indicate Hollins was shot three times  by police after he rammed cruisers following a traffic stop and then  pinned an officer between his car and a cruiser, before fleeing on foot.
