A Franklin County woman is facing federal charges for allegedly stealing Social Security benefits.
The U.S. Justice Department says Marie Coleman of Orange was charged in federal court in Springfield on Monday.
Coleman allegedly took more than 65-thousand dollars in benefits while serving as the representative payee for an individual who was receiving them.
Prosecutors say she failed to report that she was no longer living with the individual in November of 2008, but continued to receive the benefits through January of 2017.
