Multiple media outlets are reporting that the University of Massachusetts is parting ways with head football coach Mark Whipple.
In his first stint from 1998 to 2003, Whipple coached the Minutemen to one NCAA Division I-AA championship and an overall record of 49 wins and 26 losses.
He returned to Amherst in 2014 but did not have the same success in his second go-around, only going 16-and-44.
Neither the coach or the University are commenting.
