The company that opened one of the first recreational marijuana shops in Massachusetts is being sold.
New England Treatment Access, which opened in Northampton in November, will be acquired by Atlanta-based Surterra Wellness, which has marijuana ventures in three other states: Florida, Texas and Nevada.
The sale must be approved by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.
NETA officials say they are not cashing in. They are setting up an expansion nationwide.
