The worst possible news for the family of a Springfield man reported missing earlier this year.
The body found in the Connecticut River on Friday is identified as a 23-year-old Springfield man missing since January.
Authorities say Achim Bailey's body was recovered from the river in Longmeadow.
A spokesperson for the Hampden County District Attorney says there is no physical trauma to indicate foul play.
Bailey's death remains under investigation.
