A surprise announcement from the Melha Shriners Tuesday night.
Officials say that after 64 years, the Malha Shrine Circus will end its run at the Big E in West Springfield.
The Chairman of the Circus Al Zippin says that the legendary circus fell victim to low attendance numbers over the last several years.
Zippin says Shriners will be devoting more time to the other fundraising activities in its place and will be announcing other events at a later date.
