The state is scheduling a public hearing for a proposed pipeline expansion in Hampden County.
The Massachusetts Energy Facilities Sitting Board will be in Longmeadow next Wednesday for a hearing.
It'll focus on the plans of Tennessee Gas to establish a metered connection at the Longmeadow Country Club and a pipeline loop and other upgrades in Agawam.
There are several environmental groups that are working to stop the expansion from happening.
Those groups say the pipeline would be a dangerous to residents and to the environment.
