Senator Elizabeth Warren is proposing the broad cancellation of student loan debt across the country.
The Democratic candidate for president says her plan would wipe out student loan debt for 75 percent of those carrying loans.
Once the debt has been cleared, Warren says the next step would be to make public college education tuition free.
Warren says the entire plan could be fully funded with a two percent tax on families with over 50-million-dollars in wealth.
The Senator is promising a healthy debate on the measure.
