The state Cannabis Control Commission is granting approval to a pilot program involving licensed marijuana cafes.
The pilot will allow the cafes to open in up to a dozen cities and towns.
The state will collect data on any problems related to the cafes and adjust the rules if needed.
The commission plans to issue social consumption licenses to small, local cannabis farmers and processors.
