A new report from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission is focusing on crime in downtown Springfield following the opening of MGM's casino.
It indicates crime did not increase in a four-month period after the casino opened last year.
The report does show that MGM was the top location for crimes and police service calls in an eleven-community region in that time frame.
Officials plan to examine some issues covered in the report in the future.
Meantime, officials say that MGM Springfield has been fined 100 thousand dollars because of under aged betters on the gaming floor.
Mike Mathis, the president of MGM says that they will crack down to make sure that there is no one on the floor that shouldn't be there.
They will not appeal the fine.
