The co-founder of Friendly's Ice Cream has died. Curtis Blake opened the first Friendly ice cream shop with his brother, S. Prestley, in Springfield in 1935. The brothers sold the Friendly's restaurant chain to Hershey's Foods. Curtis Blake was 102.
