The chief development officer of Springfield is retiring.
Kevin Kennedy was appointed to oversee the city's Office of Planning and Economic Development in 2011.
Mayor Domenic Sarno said during Kennedy's run, the city has seen over four-billion dollars in economic development, including Union Station,
CRRC, MGM and expansion from Big Y and MassMutual.
