Court documents in the Dominican Republic are identifying the person investigators believe paid the suspects in the David Ortiz shooting.
The paying suspect is identified as Alberto Miguel Rodriguez Mota.
The court documents do not reveal a possible motive for the shooting, which left the former Red Sox star with serious internal injuries.
Ortiz remains at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was taken one day after the shooting last Sunday.
