The Springfield Police Department says the eighth homicide of the year in the city was a stabbing.
The murder victim, who has not been named, was found overnight Wednesday on Worthington Street.
The Springfield PD's homicide unit is looking into the incident.
Police have not indicated a motive in the case yet.
