A Chicopee Comp High School football player has been identified as the victim in that fatal crash in Wilbraham over the weekend.
A vigil held last night at the football field for 15 year old Alex Ortiz.
Ortiz was called an "outstanding" role model who worked hard and was always smiling.
Police say he was declared dead at the scene after the car apparently went out of control and struck a tree on Three Rivers Road.
The accident remains under investigation.
Funeral services are incomplete.
