Ground has been broken on a 100-million dollar baseball stadium in Worcester.
Red Sox executives and city and state officials gathered yesterday in front of a crowd of about a thousand people to celebrate the groundbreaking.
The Pawtucket Red Sox will become the Worcester Red Sox in 2021 when construction on Polar Park is completed.
The stadium for the Triple-A affiliate team will seat ten-thousand people.
