Today is the last day for single-use plastic bags at Big Y stores.
Starting tomorrow, shoppers can either bring their own reusable bags or get a paper bag from the store.
The ban was originally to take effect in 2020 but was bumped up.
In Connecticut, tomorrow the state will begin taxing single use plastic bags.
