Nine Bay State communities are now at a critical threat level.
This comes after discovery of the first human case of the Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus since 2013.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health confirmed a Plymouth County man over the age of 60 has E-E-E.
The nine communities at risk are Carver, Lakeville, Marion, Middleborough, Rochester, Wareham, Freetown, and New Bedford.
