The Springfield City Council approved host community agreements last night with four companies who want to open adult-use cannabis stores.
More steps are needed before the shops can open, including licenses from the state Cannabis Control Commission.
The businesses are: INSA on West Columbus Avenue, Holistic Industries on Boston Road, 6 Bricks on Albany Street, and 311 Page Boulevard, at the same address.
The state process may take as much as a year.
