Three people are behind bars after a large-scale drug trafficking organization.
The Hampden District Attorney announced the arrests this morning after a lengthy investigation into the distribution of heroin and cocaine throughout Western Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont.
At one of the crime sites in Springfield, police seized more than 22-thousand bags of heroin.
The principal members of the organization who were arrested are identified as Jonathan Acevedo of Chicopee,
Jonathan Rivera of Springfield and Jean Carlos Rios-Rivera of Springfield.
