Springfield Ambulance Company Agrees To New Contract

A new contract agreement is being reached for Western Massachusetts employees of American Medical Response.

The ambulance service says the union emergency medical technicians' and paramedics' pay will be bumped as much as nearly twelve-percent.

AMR says the increases will take effect immediately.

The contract for the workers was originally scheduled to end next June, but AMR says employees have agreed to extend it to the end of next year.
