Adolfo's May Be Closed After Monday License Hearing

A downtown Springfield restaurant that was raided by federal and state authorities last week is closing.

An attorney for Adolfo's says owner Victor Bruno gave up his liquor license before a scheduled hearing at City Hall on Monday over violations that allegedly happened at the property earlier this year.

The attorney says last week's raid factored into the decision to close.

Bruno named the restaurant for his father, a Genovese crime family boss who was killed in 2003.

The forfeiture of the liquor license has not been confirmed however by city officials.
