The Hampden District Attorney's Office is identifying the man who died after a standoff with police in Springfield early-morning Tuesday.
The D.A.'s office says the man's name was Daniel Buck, and that he was from Southbridge.
It's believed Buck killed himself after locking himself in a gas station bathroom after officers came out to the area of Sumner Avenue and Converse Street for a report of a domestic violence suspect being in the area.
Officers fired their weapons at Buck after he had drawn a gun and fired at them, according to reports. No other injuries were reported.
