State Announces New Overdose Monitoring Centers

The state Department of Public Health is working to establish monitoring centers for people who have overdosed on illegal drugs.

The department is looking for organizations to set up the monitoring and medical observation centers.

The centers will monitor vital signs of the drug users and administer oxygen or Narcan if needed.

The project is funded by a five-million-dollar line in the state budget.
