Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse is putting out a statement after a weekend of shootings. Following the violence which resulted in two deaths,
Morse on Monday pledged more police patrols and said his heart goes out to the friends and families of the victims.
The Hampden District Attorney's Office announced yesterday that a murder suspect has been arrested in connection to one of the deaths.
That's Holyoke resident Jean Carlos Rivera, who is accused of killing Jesus Otero Marrero, who was found dead in an alley near South Bridge Street on Friday morning.
