The Basketball Hall of Fame announced eight finalists for the 2020 Hall of Fame class on Friday at the NBA All-Star weekend in Chicago.
The list includes the late Kobe Bryant, longtime San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett, who won an NBA title with the Boston Celtics.
Also: the WNBA's Tamika Catchings, NCAA coaches Kim Mulkey, Barbara Stevens and Eddie Sutton, and NBA coach Rudy Tomjanovich.
A finalist needs 18 of 24 votes from a committee for election; a final Class of 2020 announcement is coming in April, with festivities in Springfield at the end of August.
