Northampton Rep Seeks Help For Homeless

Northampton State Rep Lyndsey Sabadosa has written to Governor Baker asking him to immediately implement emergency shelters to try to prevent the homeless from being adversely affected by the Covid Virus.

She wants money from MEMA to be used to fund seasonal shelters for families and individuals beyond the normal operational period.

The Governor has not commented on the proposal.

Sabadosa says that the virus has forced most public buildings with running water and restrooms to close and that means that the homeless have few options.
